Tara Strong. Many of you may know her, if you are a fan of animation or video games. She has been a huge contributor to the mediums. From Timmy Turner and Twilight Sparkle to Raven and Bubbles to even Batgirl and Harley Quinn, Tara Strong has showcased a HUGE range of talent in her vocal performances - truly bringing her characters to life virtually every time - and is easily my favorite female voice-over actor, and one of my overall favorite voice actors, of all time. So much of my childhood (Fairly OddParents, the DCAU, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Xiaolin Showdown and many, MANY more) has had Tara involved in it somehow, I am still somewhat surprised to say, and I REALLY respect this woman for that reason alone.

...

But that, alone, isn't why I adore Tara.

She also works for a LOT of charity causes. But there was one story in particular, involving Tara, and the amount of work she did towards this cause... this one story is why I adore her. This is the true reason that I admire Tara Strong so much, and today, I would like to share it with you all...

In kindergarten, Tara's son met a girl named Kiki, who had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and was not expected to live for long. Despite how much the medical expenses, the girl's family refused to give up on her, even when the medical expenses began to become too much to bear. Tara, having gradually befriended the family since her son met Kiki, appealed to the still at-the-time growing fandom of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and - with their support via Twitter - fundraising events were created and donations were giving in, raising over $100,000. Kiki lived for two years beyond what the doctors had expected thanks to this... but, sadly, she died earlier this year. And, even as she was dying, Tara was still there for her until the last moment, even singing her to sleep during those last few minutes...

I only recently learned about this. But learning about it... all the work, the dedication... It was heartwarming. It was genuinely heartwarming. I not only have elevated levels of respect towards those of the Bronies who helped this cause, and this girl, but also Tara for all the work she put in.

Bless you, Tara Strong. That is all I can really say to end this... Bless you.

*looks down at the floor* Yikes. No one deserves to die young, especially not Kiki. I had never heard of her until now. *starts to cry* God rest her soul.
